On
24 August 1999, Uni Air Flight 873 suffers an explosion in an overhead bin in
the front passenger cabin while rolling out after landing at Hualien Airport,
eventually leading to the death of one passenger. It is later found that the
cause of the explosion was due to a passenger carrying filled gasoline
containers on board and placing them close to a vehicle battery another
passenger had stowed in the overhead bin.

Airport runway collision 16 January 2020
On
3 December 1990, two Northwest Airlines flights collide on the runway at Detroit
Metropolitan Wayne County Airport after Flight 1482 mistakenly turns on to an
active runway while Flight 299 is taking off. 8 occupants on board Flight 1482
are killed.

On
28 September 1992, Pakistan International Airlines Flight 268 crashes into a
mountainside while on approach to Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport,
killing all 167 on board.

On
18 May 2011, Sol Líneas Aéreas Flight 5428 stalls and crashes in severe icing

On
12 March 2009, Cougar Helicopters Flight 91 ditches in the Atlantic Ocean off
the coast of Newfoundland, Canada following a main gearbox failure. 17 of the
18 people on board are killed.

On
8 January 2016, West Air Sweden Flight 294, a cargo flight, crashes en route
from Oslo to Tromsø, Norway after a malfunction in an inertial reference unit
produces erroneous attitude indications. Both crew members are killed.

16 August 2015, Trigana Air Flight 267 crashes into a mountainside while

29 November 2013, LAM Mozambique Airlines Flight 470 crashes into Bwabwata
National Park, Namibia, halfway through its flight from Maputo, Mozambique to
Luanda, Angola. All 33 people on board are killed.

AIRES Flight 8250 was a domestic scheduled passenger flight that on 16 August 2010 crashed on landing at night in poor weather on the Colombian island of San Andrés, killing 2 of the 131 people on board. The aircraft, an AIRES-operated Boeing 737-700, was arriving from the Colombian capital Bogotá when it heavily touched down short of the runway, breaking up in three sections.

official investigation concluded that the crash was caused by the misjudgement
